For those who don’t know about us, you may be asking “So, what does the SBCD do?”  We’re glad you asked!  The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is your local connection to a network of centers across Ohio and the nation that is dedicated to providing most, if not all, of the necessary resources you’ll need to get your start-up company off the ground and growing into a profitable organization. Here in our local office, we give you the assistance you need to move through all stages of business development - from your idea, through start-up, development and into growth and expansion. We work hard to maximize and leverage available financial and other resources that provide support and assistance to individual entrepreneurs for a successful outcome. We can help you to obtain the proper permit, licenses or forms, help with community demographics, economic development activities, international trade leads and assistance, and technology resource. Email Completed Form - Send your completed Advising Form to sschil10@kent.edu or bring it with you to your first meeting.  (HINT: Think about how you plan to go to market: what you will sell, who are your customers, where you’ll begin operating.
